Celebrating 50 Years! 1969 – 2019

We Get By With A Little Help From Our Friends!

Posted by mcnary69 on August 23, 2011

This last Saturday night, August 20, 33 die hard Celtics came together to celebrate at our community 60th birthday party.  A good time was had by all.

Would you like to see these yearly events continue?  We would like to try and and keep as many of us connected as possible leading up to our next big event – the big 45 – our 45th reunion July 25-27,  2014.  Post a comment here if you have an opinion, suggestion or if you just want to say “Hi.”

We would also like to start using social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, etc to reach even more Celtics who have somehow remained unfound!  If anyone wishes to help out with this, post a comment here and you will be put to work bringing the Class of 69 into the 21st Century!  If you know the whereabouts of any lost Celtics, you can also let us know via the comments section in this post.

Enjoy this group picture from the party, courtesy of Velan Chapin.  Recognize anyone? More pictures to come, so check back soon!

Hi Everyone. My wife and I had planned to attend; but schedules with our last son at home changed that. Stephen is sixteen and very active in outdoor activities. We do plan to attend the 45th reunion. A note to John Newell. Call me at 541-419-7001. Look forward to seeing all of you. Don Dunn

      Hi Cris,
Dave Bull’s sister Karen took pictures, and we will post them here on the blog when we receive them from her. Check back to view them. You can also download them from here as well.

  3. Found your website by accident. Wow, I’m Gurnee Flesher’s granddaughter who graduated in 1981 from McNary and was blessed to get the official “Flesher Field” sign from the football field. Unfortunately, my grandad died before I got to learn a lot about him. Have heard stories he was a strict principal and had very few student friends due to him making them toe the line. Would love to hear your stories if my grandad had an impact on your high school years. It would mean a lot to me. Again, I know not all stories will be favorable, but to know the impact he had on you would be great to hear
