Call for Music Requests from Sandy (Febach) Armstrong

Dear Classmates,

I am putting together a collection of music from “our generation,” focusing roughly on the years 1968 to 1970. My idea is to make a CD of this music and if folks want, make one available to everyone at the reunion. Gil Reynolds has indicated that he could bring a PA to the event on Friday night to play the tunes, and that we could play some on Saturday night during breaks, etc.

So, if you have specific requests of music you would like to hear again, please reply to this blog or to me at sarmstrong@olympus.net. I know we all have access to I Tunes, etc, but I just thought it would be fun to have a CD to put into the car… a little traveling music as you rocket down the road in your ’69 Camaro or Mustang! (or even your mini-van, SUV, hybrid car, truck, motorcycle, bicycle, etc.)

Jeanene Louden: Hey, Class of ’69, are we having fun yet?

Never having blogged before, I somehow got the assignment to open this channel of communication with you, the Class of 1969,  McNary High School, Salem (now Keizer), Oregon.

If you go to our website, http://www.McNaryClassof69.com you’ll get all the details and have the opportunity to sign up for some great events, but we wanted to include a way for all of us to catch up here “in the ether” as well. You can comment or post (posting instructions on the website), upload photos, etc. We’d all love to catch up. Really.

“We” are the organizing committee and a bunch of grads located to date. The committee includes me (Jeanene Louden), Gil Reynolds, Kay (Glennie) Ebner, Bruce Chapin and Ken Gierloff, and now others.  Sounds like the motley crew from the 30th?

Well, we are hoping you would like to join us. And, posting here is one great way to be involved. Another is to pass the word about the blog, the website and, oh yeah, about the reunion:
